Red Light Therapy Treatment in South East London

Red Light Therapy in Kidbrooke, South East London

At the Royal Recovery room we offer 20min sessions of Red light therapy, with both Red light and Near Infrared light wavelengths.

Also known as photobiomodulation, red light therapy is the process of emitting light wavelengths through the skin to stimulate your body’s healing and regeneration processes. Only red light therapy can reach all the way into a cell’s mitochondria to stimulate healing and regeneration to help improve your appearance, performance and overall well-being.

Benefits of red light therapy can include:

Reduces pain – eases joint stiffness/soreness, diminishes inflammation and reduces muscles spasms.

Improves circulation – dilates blood vessels for increased blood flow and protects red blood cells and platelets.

Reduces inflammation – which can soothe joint pain and arthritis. It can ease symptoms associated with autoimmune diseases, spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries.

Reduces recovery time – accelerates muscle repair, stimulates mitochondria and stem cells for faster recovery.

Improves skin health – generates production of collagen, increases tissue repair and can reduce fine lines, wrinkles and scars.

Promotes cellular health – Stimulates collagen production, strengthens hair and improves skin elasticity and promotes connective tissue health

Stimulates hair growth – stimulates stem cells in the hair follicle to encourage active growth.

Our red light therapy system uses both red light and infrared light at multiple wavelengths to give the greatest benefits overall. (The device is a full FDA Class II medical device).

The red lights in the device emit red light and infrared wavelengths at 5 different wavelengths.

The red light spectrums at 630nm and 660nm works at skin and just below skin level and can help reduce fine lines, wrinkles, help improve scarring and reduce breakouts of acne, help with psoriasis and can help hair regrowth. It can also reduce swelling and inflammation reducing fatigue.

The Near Infrared lights at 810nm, 830nm and 850nm work at a deeper level and targets both bone and joint health as well as neurological benefits. The Near Infrared can improve wound healing, bone repair and growth, and enhances muscle recovery by decreasing oxidative stress and inflammation which can lead to increased muscle mass after training. This level of infrared light also stimulates collagen production so can help skin appear more plump and reduce lines as well as cellulite.

Yes both the red and infrared wavelengths of light are completely safe. Red light therapy has had many benefits for the whole body including your eyes so is deemed safe to use in the treatment of many ailments.

Our device is FDA approved and made in an FDA approved facility.

During the session you will stand in front of the red light device. We recommend minimal clothing so the red light penetrates into your skin. The sessions last for 20 mins so to get maximal benefit we recommend 10 mins on each side of your body.

Should you wish to treat a specific area, please let our therapists know and they can advise the best way to use the time.
