What is Royal Resistance?
Royal Resistance is team based, functional training. We run a variety of high intensity sessions throughout the week that are motivational and get great results. No one-hour class is ever the same and we always have fun!
Our fitness classes alternate between working out with weights, battle ropes, tractor tyres, kettle bells, pull up rig, running, boxing and yoga.
All classes take place in a high-energy and encouraging environment. The motivating music, and inspiring instructors will motivate you to run, lift, and and work harder than ever before!
Will I be okay if I’m a beginner or not already in shape?
Don’t worry! We welcome beginners and have a lot of them. While we don’t have a beginner’s class, we look after all of our first-timers.
To make the most of your first class, we recommend arriving 10 minutes early so we can explain the workout and introduce you to your instructor.
Royal Resistance classes are created for individuals to challenge themselves throughout the class. We always offer different repetition and time ranges to give you the options. For total beginners, you can choose to rest and join in when you have recovered from the last exercise.
How often should I go?
We recommend four classes per week as an optimal number, with two classes per week at a minimum, if you’re committed to seeing a real change in your body and your energy levels. Our membership entitles you to attend any class on the timetable.
Listen to your body — if your muscles are very sore, give them time to repair themselves.
How long will it take to see results?
Members see results fast. If you are going 3-5 times a week, you should start to see & feel a change in your body in 2 weeks. Your loved ones will probably see a difference in 5 weeks. But you will notice a psychological changes almost immediately. You’ll feel better about yourself, you’ll be more motivated to train, and seeing the heads whipping around as you stroll by doesn’t exactly hurt your ego!
Do I need to book my first class?
Sign up for a two-week trial (£15) and get started straight away. There is no need to book your first class as we are not limited on space. Please see the timetable of all available classes. We will give you a call just to make sure you know all the details.
Can I pay as you go?
Yes, we have a PAYG option of £10 per class. This option is to be booked before the class. Book HERE
What are the costs?
The adult membership is £50 per month and junior membership is £25 per month. You can attend as many classes on the timetable as you like. All payments are made via direct debit using Go Cardless. All details will be fully encrypted and your personal and banking details will be kept private. There is a £12 activation charge on all accounts when you join unless you join straight after your 2 week trial.
Can I use the gym on my own?
The gym is only open for the classes listed on the web site and for PT use. All classes are lead by an expert instructor to push you that bit further! If you would like to privately book the space then please email firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
How do I cancel?
If you need to cancel then please drop us an emailing stating you would like to cancel your membership. There is a 30 day notice period to cancel. Please email email@example.com

We are located on the High Street. Enter through the front doors.

Where is the best place to park?
There are loads of parking spots around Royal Arsenal but we recommend the Cannon Square car park below the Royal Resistance building. Turn left at Mini garage and then left again and the car park is on your left. Post code – SE18 6GG. It’s 90p per hour.
