At the Royal Recovery Room we are now offering NormaTec Compression Therapy.
NormaTec can help improve recovery from a tough workout session, so you are back to your best in super quick time.
The sessions can be booked for 20, 40 or 60 mins.
NormaTec Compression utilises sequential pulsing of compressed air which massages, mobilises fluid and gets rid of lactic acid, inflammation, fat and other byproducts. This is key for healing after an intense workout and can help prevent DOMs. The pulsing is divided into zones to create a pressure gradient that moves these waste products up and out of the legs.
NormaTec can be used prior to workouts to help warm up muscles and improve flexibility to help prevent injuries, whereas utilising post workouts will help improve recovery time allowing for more intense training and less pain.
NormaTec compression therapy is used by many athletes across the world and is very popular in professional sports, to help aid recovery for more intense training.

It is not recommended you use Normatec compression if you have the following conditions:
- Acute Pulmonary oedema.
- Acute thrombophlebitis.
- Acute congestive cardiac failure.
- Acute infections.
- Deep vein thrombosis.
- Episodes of pulmonary embolism.
- Wounds, lesions, infection or tumours near the site of application.
- Where increased venous or lymphatic return is undesirable.
- Bone Fractures or dislocation at or near the site of application.
